Basically splitting the difference between a supersport and a 650. Between the Ninja 650 and MT07, it depends on what you to do with it. The ninja will be better for long distance, but the MT07 is definitely more unique. The MT07 also has one of the best motorcycle engines of the past decade or two. Miglin.

After the engine, the brakes are probably the next strong point in the MT-07 armoury. Just like the firm did twenty years ago with the Fazer 600, Yamaha has put top-spec four-piston calipers on the MT, and while they’re not radial mounts, and the discs are on the smaller side, they still give amazing stopping power – perfectly in tune with the bike’s performance profile.
