Hold the directional pad (right or left depending what you want to use) as opposed to tapping it. I just figured it out. I didn’t know how to interchange the tools. The shield is the last thing I need for the all Legendary equipment trophy. Currently level 25, I know it's relatively early but it's bothering me being the only non legendary. Now weapons on the other hand.. those I have in spades. 3 Smoke and Mirrors and 2 lord of the bones, and atleast 1 legendary of every type of weapon bar the dual swords.
